The protection
of our environment and our climate is particularly important to us. That
is why we have also set up an Innovation Fund. It supports projects in
our supply area to the tune of over one million euros, helping to ensure
that less carbon dioxide (CO2) finds its way into our atmosphere. Man-made
CO2 emissions play a large part in global warming.
The aims of the Innovation Fund

We want to promote the use of
renewable energy sources. |

We want to promote the use of district heat. |

We want to promote energy-saving measures. |
The main criteria for grant awards
|
The project must contribute to reducing carbon
dioxide emissions. |

The project should be technologically innovative. |

The project should create jobs. |
The annual amount of the Fund is € 1,022,600, half
of which is spent on measures to promote district heating. Projects
are approved by a committee, half of whose members are representatives
of the regional capital city of Dresden and half of whom come from
DREWAG.
The Fund only promotes activities in the area supplied by DREWAG.
The sponsorship takes the form of a one-off grant. Operating subsidies
are not provided. There is no legal entitlement to sponsorship.
