We keep you safe from electromagnetic fields

When current
flows through a cable, billions of electrons are set in motion. These
particles cause a magnetic field to be created around the conductor.
At present we do not know for certain what effect these fields have
on people. However, to prevent possible health risks, the law now
prescribes limits which the magnetic fields around electrical installations
must not exceed.
Our plants are safe
We have inspected all our transformer substations, cable networks
and overhead lines, partly in collaboration with the State Environmental
Agency in Radebeul. The result was favourable: All our power supply
installations are below the prescribed limits. In other words, DREWAG
electricity poses no risk to your health.
